General outline PMP® Certification Course

(Includes MDTP-02, MDTP-03 and MDTP-04)


PCSM CA would work with its Canadian partner PCSM CA to brining in advanced industry experiences, resources, logistics and process knowledge from developed country environments and institutions. Except for the MDTP-04 (foundation level) training program, all other three project management training programs shall include complete PMP® Examination Training sessions.

The training programs would be in accordance with PMBOK 6th Edition (or the latest) guidelines.

PCSMCA instructors shall provide high Quality Course Materials including (PMP® Exam Simulation questionnaire, CD’s, Mock Tests and special sessions on project management environment and strategies focus to the requirements of the attendees).

The course administration plan would trail down the following outline based on the latest Examination process introduced by Project Management Institute (PMI).

  • Project initiation, project charter development, project scope management planning, project requirements and project scope definition, creation of project WBS, work packaging, work package dictionary, scope baseline maintenance, verification and validation of scope, control project scope.


    Session Four

  • Introduction to Project Time Management
  • Differentiating planning and scheduling and importance of project schedule management. Role of schedule risk, quality and integrity management in project delivery.

    Introduction to Project Quality Management

    Role of Project Quality Management in achieving customer satisfaction, PMI emphasis on achieving quality in project delivery management; international standards in quality management and PMI alignment. Issues on Continuous quality improvement.

  • Plan quality management (using cost of quality, control charts, benchmarking etc.), quality assurance planning and management (using quality audit and process analysis), and quality control (Cause-effect diagram, Pareto chart, Histogram, inspection etc.)

    Understanding Gold Plating, Continuous Improvement, Just In Time delivery (JIT), Total Quality management (TQM)), some statistical concepts in quality management.

    Developing project Human Resources plan and understanding use of various HRM tools and techniques (Resource calendar, RAM Matrix and RACI chart) in project management.

    Acquire project team, develop project team (interpersonal skills, team building activities, mentoring and training, setting ground rules, implementing recognition and reward system), Manage project team (performance appraisal, conflict management etc.), Understanding of Organizational behavior in the context of project management: Leadership Styles, Expectancy Theory, Motivation Theory, McGregor’s Theory X and Y, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, Herzberg’s motivation-hygiene theory etc.
