PCSMCA - MDTP – 04

OVERVIEW

This is an abreast PMI - PMBOK aligned foundation level project management training course contributing to the participants to acquire “basic skills Sets for a project manager”. Project professionals from all sectors are welcome to attend this course.

This course brings in introduction to fundamental of PMI guided Project Management Standards and Practices. Covers primary methodologies and techniques applied in project delivery management, execution and controls across industries.



This 2 days foundation level course can be taken as a preparatory course to attend PMP certification course.

COURSE OUTCOME

This course shall prepare participants with project management outfits, procedures and skills sets with special focus on soft managerial skills development that are essential to become a successful Project Manager. This program shall qualify the participants to:

  • Identify and formulate specific project objectives, scope and high level deliverables with milestones
  • Recognize realistic project/client/customer constraint and requirements
  • Order, select, characterize projects, subcontracts, WBS, Milestones, and activities/tasks
  • Develop a project execution plan based on PMI standards
  • Build project teams, manage Project RMS-Resource Management Systems
  • Prepare basic estimates, create a work breakdown structure
  • Set control budgets and baseline schedules

  • Build effective plans to control the project budget, schedule, and quality

  • WHO SHOULD ATTEND

    This course is ideal for new project managers/Project Engineers who wants an overview of the project management framework based on the PMI standards or for more experienced project managers without previous formal project management or controls training. The program shall provide a foundation level preparation for those who are working towards their PMP® certification.

    The course is non-sector specific and the content shall apply to all industries.


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Basic Engineering degree or Diploma with 5 year's experience, Business Graduates with 3 years project management and controls experience

  • A PCSM CA Certificate of completion of the course – MDTP-04
  • Experience from a 2 full days of interactive instruction in an war room situation

  • Professional Development Credits - Participants shall earn 15 hour's of project management education credits towards new applications for PMP® and CAPM® Certification from PMI.
